Around 8:45 that evening, police said Stephanie Hernandez was in the passenger seat of her 2008 Ford Explorer. The 15-year-old was at the wheel, being guided into a parking spot when the SUV lurched forward, slamming two men in their mid-50s into the wall.

One was pronounced dead at the scene. The other died a short time later at Hahnemann University Hospital.
