PHILADELPHIA (KYW Newsradio) — A 58-year-old woman was shot and killed in a drive-by shooting in North Philadelphia on Tuesday night.

Police aren't releasing her name at this time.

They believe she may have been stalked by the shooter who pulled up in a car and fired more than 20 shots at her as she was sitting in an SUV parked outside a take-out restaurant in the 2900 block of North Fifth Street.

The cops say her boyfriend heard the shots shortly after 11 p.m. and ran outside as the shooter drove off.

Police responding to a call of gunshots in the neighborhood caught up with the boyfriend as he was driving her to the hospital.

She suffered two gunshot wounds to the chest and was pronounced dead at the hospital.
