PHILADELPHIA (KYW Newsradio) — Giving out candy on Halloween can be more of a chore than you imagined.

Maybe your parents are elderly and you worry, but they love to see the kids in costume on Halloween.

However, you need to hand out candy in your home, so that creates a problem, says Caryn Coff, Executive Director of Visiting Angels in Jenkintown.

"If you can't be there, and this might be something that mom or dad enjoys seeing all the little trick-or-treaters coming to the door," she said. "But it might not be safe for them or practical for them to do it alone, so Visiting Angels can provide a Halloween helper."

Now your parents can keep the lights on, see the little ghouls and be safe in their home, and you can take care of the treats at your place.
