WASHIINGTON, D.C. (KYW Newsradio) — The Philadelphia Soul will be looking to build on the momentum of an incredible comeback victory on Friday night when they visit the Washington Valor.

Philadelphia improved to 5-4 on the season with an unforgettable 75-74 win in Albany over the Empire on Saturday. The Soul trailed 74-62 with under a minute to play, but scored two touchdowns in the game's final 28 seconds.

Quarterback Shane Austin hit Darius Prince for a game-winning, 10-yard touchdown pass as time expired to silence the home crowd.

"It was honestly [like] back in the old school days of arena football," Soul head coach Clint Dolezel said. "Kind of one of those games whoever had [the ball] last [would win]. We actually needed a stop and an onside kick to have it last, and we did that. Went down and made a play at the end. It was a great play by Shane and Prince to connect there. Those don't come around very often. I've had a few of those happen against me, so it's nice to be on the other side of it."

Austin, playing in place of the injured Dan Raudabaugh, finished with 337 yards passing, 10 touchdowns and no interceptions. Prince, who finished with 13 catches for 113 yards and three scores, was one of two young Soul receivers to come up huge against Albany. Aaron Wascha had 12 receptions for an incredible 208 yards and seven touchdowns.

"Prince and Aaron Wascha stepping up for us," Dolezel said. "Prince was with us for just the last couple games last year, but he's pretty much a rookie still, too. So our young guys are getting it done for us."

Washington is just 1-8 this season, but the Valor's lone win came at the expense of the Soul back on June 10.

"They are definitely playing better, overall," Dolezel added.

Philadelphia won their first two matchups with the Valor this season.

Friday night's game gets underway at 7 p.m.
