PHILADELPHIA (KYW Newsradio) -- It's time again to get that shore vibe without leaving the city. Spruce Street Harbor Park along the Delaware River has kicked off its fifth season. The popular hangout has added new features.

"This year we have a vegetarian, vegan option, we added "Hip City Veg" to our food list," said Sesley Cruz, who works at Spruce Harbor Park.

Hip City Veg, with three other spots in Philadelphia, is catching on quickly in its latest home on the freshly-installed boardwalk overlooking the Delaware River.

Spruce Harbor Park offers people a chance to dance to live music or doze under shady trees.

"I just wanted to try it out, and it's wonderful," said one Philadelphia resident. "I can fall asleep here, alright."

Visitors can get cozy in the popular bold-colored hammocks hanging throughout the park.

"We waited about half-hour to get a turn," she said, "but we are happy to be here."

And there are free games for the little ones, such as a giant chess set and Connect Four.

They can also enjoy the free wonders of the waterfront.

"We see boats, it's peaceful, you can eat ice cream," said one child.
New frozen drinks for the grownups are being offered this year. Daiquiris and margaritas to help beat the heat, and the beer is always flowing.

And at night, Spruce Harbor Park is all aglow with twinkling white lights in the trees.
