AVALON, NJ (KYW Newsradio) -- Another sign of better weather to come around the region, business is picking up down the shore for those prime vacation rental units.
Some three quarters of the properties represented by Long and Foster realtors are already spoken for. Many are regulars, according to rental agent Randy Leiser, who says rates depend on how much space you need and how close you want to get to the beach.
"We have modest homes and condominiums are $2,000 to $3,000 a week all the way up to $10,000, $15,000, $20,000 and more, depending on exactly what you are looking for," Leiser told KYW Newsradio.

And while he centers on Avalon and Stone Harbor, you can find something pretty easily right now, as long as you're flexible particularly when it comes to what week or two you want.
"Once you know what dates you're looking for and how many of your family will be joining you, then you'll know what you need to accommodate both the family as well as the budget," he added.
There's more information on the units available online through the Long and Foster website.
