PHILADELPHIA (KYW Newsradio) — Police are looking for a shooter who opened fire at a teen and a man riding their bikes in South Philadelphia overnight Sunday.

Chief Inspector Scott Small says a 16-year-old boy and a 20-year-old man were on their bikes around 12:30 a.m. at 26th and Tasker streets.

"Someone fired at least seven shots from a large-caliber semi-automatic weapon," Small said. "We found seven spent shell casings in very close proximity to where both victims had collapsed."

It was a point-blank shooting, Small said.

The teen victim was shot in the torso. Cops took him to the hospital. Police say the 20-year-old was shot three times. Medics rushed him to the hospital. Both are in critical condition.

Police have surveillance footage they can look at as they work to identify the shooter. A motive is not clear at this point.
