PHILADELPHIA (KYW Newsradio) — Philadelphia knows how to celebrate Halloween.

Being the last weekend before All Hallows’ Eve on Thursday, now is the time to soak in all the shiver-down-your-spine-inducing events the city has to offer (just hopefully without any Sunday scaries).

For the kids, take them to East Passyunk for a costume contest and fall festival — there’s drink specials for the parents, too — or check out the Headhouse District for a straw bale maze and pumpkin decorating.

And don’t forget your pets: Take your pup to the Mutt Strut, a fundraiser and costume contest by PAWS.

Once the babysitter relieves you for the evening, head to Center City for the Devil’s Crawl — a Halloween-themed bar crawl with more than 50 participating locations.

If that’s not enough of a jam-packed weekend for you, check out the rest of our favorite haunts around Philadelphia and the suburbs in this weekend’s KYW To-Do List, or listen to our top picks below.
