Troy Morris

KYW Traffic

Troy Morris is a veteran of the radio industry who got his start in broadcasting in the mid-1980s while a student at Temple University. His first full-time job as a traffic reporter was at the Wilmington news station WILM-AM. Prior to joining the KYW Newsradio team, Troy worked as a traffic reporter, producer, and editor in the Philadelphia market for Metro Traffic, Shadow Traffic, SmarTraveler, Tango Traffic, Radiate Media, and Total Traffic Network. As a member of the KYW Newsradio staff, Troy’s career has come full circle. His first gig out of college 30 years ago was at KYW-TV as a part-time employee in the traffic department (but that’s a different kind of traffic -- the scheduling of advertising commercials). Troy says his epitaph will read: “He got stuck in traffic.” His goal, however, is to steer you clear of it! In his spare time, Troy likes to garden, travel, and fiddle around on his keyboard.
