Philly to cancel all large events for 6 months, says COVID-19 risk is too great

Philadelphia Mayor Jim Kenney has formally announced the city’s decision to prohibit all large outdoor events until at least Feb. 28, 2021, ending speculation about whether traditional events like the Philadelphia Marathon or the Mummers Parade would be held in the face of the COVID-19 pandemic.
